ECL & ALCPT English Trainer started as an Android app for people preparing for the English Comprehension Level test. This website gives the same practice to anyone with a browser, on a computer or on a phone.
Who makes it
The site and the app are published by Novanest ATLAS, an independent app studio. They are paid for by advertising, so they stay free to use.
How the questions are written
All 2,095 questions are original. They are not copied from any real ECL or ALCPT form, which are controlled documents. Each question has four choices and one correct answer, and most come with a short explanation of the rule. The content uses American English spelling, vocabulary and idioms.
Found a mistake?
Questions are checked and corrected regularly. If an answer looks wrong, tell us: copy the question and say which answer you think is right.
The Android app
The free Android app has the same questions, works without internet and can read each question and its choices automatically.
Not an official test
ECL & ALCPT English Trainer is an independent practice tool published by Novanest ATLAS. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to the Defense Language Institute English Language Center (DLIELC), the U.S. Department of Defense or any government.
